Chennai Telephones to roll out videoconference suite

CHENNAI: Chennai Telephones is gearing up to roll out BSNL’s first videoconference suite in the country.

A full-fledged studio, equipped with high-end camera and TV monitors, is coming up at the R.K. Nagar telephone exchange. The launch was originally set for Wednesday, but the facility will now be opened a fortnight later. At the proposed tariffs—almost 50 per cent less than what competitors are charging—BSNL’s entry could shake up videoconferencing costs in the city.
