Ponting undergoes wrist surgery

Melbourne: Australian captain Ricky Ponting on Monday underwent a surgery to repair a wrist injury sustained during the third ODI against the West Indies. “A decision regarding his fitness for the upcoming series against Bangladesh and then the Champions Trophy will be made in due course,” Cricket Australia said in a statement. — PTI
