Disability certificates

CHENNAI: With State government formalising standards for certification of mental illness, the second major exercise to assess the degree of disability of persons with mental illness took place on Friday. Three psychiatrists from the Institute for Mental Health assessed 70 patients from the Schizophrenia Research Foundation (SCARF) and issued disability certificates. The assessment was done using the IDEAS scale. .
