Ramanarayanan elected

SAVOURING THE WIN: Producer Keyar, actors Kushboo and Radhika and Ramanarayanan after the film producers council election in Chennai on Sunday.

CHENNAI: Ramanarayanan has been elected president of the Tamil Film Producers Council, elections to which were held in the city on Sunday. Mr. Ramanarayanan, who got 394 votes of the 532 votes polled, defeated Panchu Arunachalam who polled 129 votes.

Anbalaya Prabhakaran and S.A. Chandrasekaran were elected vice-presidents and Sivasakthi Pandian and K.M. Muralidharan general secretaries. Kaja Moideen was elected treasurer. Counting of votes for the posts of committee members would be taken up on Monday.
