Held for petrol bomb attack

CHENNAI: An argument over a trivial issue led to a clash between two friends at Bhaktavatchalam Colony here on Friday night that ultimately resulted in one attacking the other with a petrol bomb.

According to police, Balakrishnan and Ghani were consuming liquor when an argument erupted. This led to a scuffle and in the melee that followed, Ghani hurled a petrol bomb. Balakrishnan suffered minor burns.

MKB Nagar Assistant Commissioner of Police S. Jayakumar said Ghani was arrested on Saturday. He was produced in a city court and remanded to judicial custody.
