Guindy Park sees rise in revenue

CHENNAI: It’s been a good year for the Guindy Park. A gradual increase in the number of visitors over the years has seen a simultaneous jump in revenue.

In 2005-06, the total collection stood at Rs.26.78 lakh, which rose to Rs.42.77 lakh in the subsequent year.

In 2007-08, the collection touched an all-time high of Rs.45.16 lakh. In the first two months of the current financial year, Rs.13.17 lakh had been collected, Chennai Wildlife Warden Ashish Srivastava said.
