Bangalore: The Directorate of Youth Services and Sports, the host of the first National Youth Games here, has officially announced the postponement of the Games. The Games was scheduled to be held here from July 22. According to a press release of the DYSS Commissioner, Mr. Amar Kumar Pandey, the Games now stands postponed to January 2009, subject to the approval of the Indian Olympic Association. It may be recalled that the organisers here had requested the IOA to revise the dates in view of the monsoon and their inability to upgrade the infrastructure facilities at a short notice. — Special Correspondent
