Fashion show

MADURAI: The temperature in the late hours of Thursday soared higher than usual as models set the ramp on fire.

The fashion show, organised here as a precursor to the third edition of The Hindu Metroplus Lifestyle Show that would open in Madurai on July 10, took the Temple City by storm.

While in the first round, the models showed off some amazing traditional saris woven with a contemporary touch, the second round set the stage on fire, literally.

Stage “set ablaze”

Christened ‘Agni,’ the performers put an amazing fire show that enthralled the audience. The models went several rounds showing a wide gamut of products that included Wenfield attire to HP computing products.

Earlier, addressing a press conference, the Vice-President (Advertisement), The Hindu group of publications, V. Kalidas, said, “The show represents trendy, fashionable things and goes beyond the mundane.”

In all, it would feature 140 stalls.

The event, which commences on July 10, concludes on July 14. The entry fee for the event is Rs. 20.
