TAMBARAM: The Chennai Airport police have sought a copy of the report filed by a senior police officer of Kerala in the case of alleged harassment of a woman air passenger by the former Kerala Public Works Minister P.J. Joseph. Mr. Joseph, who appeared before the Judicial Magistrate at Alandur on June 2, said he was innocent and appealed to the court to exempt him from personal appearance. When the case came up for hearing on Thursday, Mr. Joseph’s advocates told Judicial Magistrate N. Ramanathan that the Minister could not appear before the court, as he had to be present in the Kerala Assembly. And because of the frequent trips to the court, his health was getting affected. The Magistrate posted the matter to July 9 for further hearing. Mr. Joseph had allegedly misbehaved with a woman on board a flight.
