Pachalam residents block road

KOCHI: Residents of Pachalam division blocked vehicular traffic at Pachalam junction demanding that the movement of tipper lorries and containers through the area be restricted. It was a road accident involving a trailer at SRM road junction that led to the protest.

The residents of the area demanded that policemen should be deployed at the junctions at SRM road, Pachalam and Kattunkal for controlling vehicular traffic.

The roads in the area have been damaged following the movement of these vehicles carrying huge quantities of construction materials.
