Plea to repair road

KOZHIKODE: The Development Council of Dream City, Kozhikode, has in a resolution asked the Public Works Department to repair the Vazhathiruthy Road in Eranhipalam and to name the road in memory of A.V.P. Abdulla Koya, social-political leader of the area.

A meeting of the council held here recently in another resolution decided to name the area comprising the exhibition ground and children’s play ground in Swapna Nagari after Olympian Rehman.

The council also decided to set up a bird sanctuary and zoo as part of developing the Kottuli wetlands, and name these initiatives after Kallat Krishnan, and Madhava Kurup, prominent personalities of the city, P.P. Sanku, secretary, Development Council of Dream City and Secretary, Kandalkadu Samrakshana Samithi said.
