Presspersons take out silent protest

Chitradurga: Condemning the assault on three journalists in the district, several presspersons staged a silent protest here on Tuesday. Four days ago, reporters Shivprasad of Vijay Karnataka, M.S. Karibasappa of Samyukta Karnataka and Rehmat of Praja Vani, working at Bharamasagar village, had written articles in their respective newspapers about illegal sand mining in the area. Some influential persons reportedly assaulted them.
