Keep reading, journalists told
Staff Correspondent
DAVANGERE: Ajith Ghorpade, Resident Editor of Samykuta Karnataka, a Kannada daily, has said that journalism is a unique profession in which scribes keep learning new things every day. He said there was no finality in the knowledge-acquisition process, which meant that journalists could never claim to have achieved mastery over any thing as the field was continuously dynamic.
Inaugurating the “Patrika Dinacharane Madhyama Samskruthika Vedike here on Tuesday, Mr. Ghorpade stressed the need for extensive reading by journalists and called upon them to do adequate research work before attending major press conferences or writing reports. Journalist B.N. Mallesh spoke on the occasion.
