Three killed in accidents

BANGALORE: Three persons were killed in road accidents here on Saturday and Sunday.
Channiah (45), a labourer died after he was run over by a lorry on Whitefield–Varthur Road on Sunday.
Police said, Channaiah and another labourer, Nagaraj (18), were travelling in a tractor that was being used for carrying waste. As the tractor was negotiating road humps, a lorry hit it from the rear. Channaiah fell off the tractor and came under the wheels of the lorry. Nagaraj suffered fracture. Both were moved to a private hospital, where Channaiah died. A search is on for the lorry driver.
Fatal knock
A 23-year-old man riding a motorcycle was killed after his vehicle was hit by a sand-laden lorry near the Kengeri checkpost in Byatarayanapura on Saturday. The police said Shivashankar was returning home in Sanjay Nagar when the accident occurred. He died on the spot.
Munavar Aziz, 38, riding a motorcycle was killed when he was hit by a vehicle near Basavanagudi police station on Saturday. The police said Aziz was going back home after finishing work at a printing press in Vasant Nagar. Aziz died on the spot.
