Obesity is a problem which hasstarted years ago without you noticing it, in its developing stagewhen it could have been easily attended to, but you in your busyschedule didn’t notice it and today it’s there in its full form beforeyou and you don’t believe you have become overweight isn’t it? Andmore so, now you want to get rid of this problem at the earliest andit isn’t happening. To make it happen there should be honest effortsfrom you. Obesity runs in families and as such hereditary factor isthe most blamed one for obesity. The other significant elements thatcause obesity are environment and psychological factors. Regular exercise is best to prevent obesity. The complications of obesity can be multi-dimensional. Backacheproblems in men and women, increased chances of acquiring diabetes infuture, easy fatigability and depression due to excess weight, gallbladder stones, gastro-esophageal reflux or in simple terms acidityand heart burn, increased blood cholesterol followed by increasedhyper tension, development of sleeplessness, abortions,osteo-arthritis of the weight bearing joints, stroke and paralysis dueto increased cholesterolm cancers of intestine and liver are also known to occur due to obesity. The management of obesity is the most difficult part of all but can be achieved by dietary changes and exercising, by medications and extrememethods such as surgery. Dietary changes don’t seem to be working formost people. But to contain obesity one should adopt a dietary chartin a regimented manner. And when diet control doesn’t work, one canopt for medication. And in this case, although there are many drugsin the market one should be very careful and should go for the timetested medicines. As the last resort one can go for surgical measure for obesity.Liposuction is the most commonly done of all obesity surgeries and haslesser complications. It involves sucking out of fat tissue depositedaround the abdomen and hip region which is connected to a suctionmachine. The results of this surgery are good.
