BANGALORE: The Lokayukta police on Saturday found more assets connected to 10 officials, who have been accused of having assets disproportionate to their known sources of income. The Lokayukta sleuths found Rs. 1 lakh in cash in the locker of IAS officer N.K. Baladeva Krishna in SyndicateBank, Kengeri Satellite Town. The sleuths raided a guest-house opposite Jaya Travels, the travel firm of Deputy Commissioner of Commercial Tax, Shiva Prakash’s sister Jayalakshmi. They recovered original records related to assets in the name of Mr. Prakash and Ms. Jayalakshmi. They also found documents related to six acres of land in Yeshwantpur, four sites, 1 kg gold and 6.7 kg of silver ornaments. From Deputy Superintendent of Police M. Ramakrishna, the Lokayukta officials found documents related to four sites at Nandagudi purchased in 2005 and 1.2 acres of land at Hoskote, purchased in 2004. A sum of Rs. 3.79 lakh was found in the account of taluk executive officer, Kustagi, H.D. Mahalingaiah. A sum of Rs. 14.30 lakh was found in various bank accounts of Additional Director of Mines and Geology Khayum Ali. Executive Engineer C.R. Bellary’s wife was found having Rs.10 lakh in her bank account and Rs. 4 lakh in a fixed deposit in a cooperative bank. From his bank locker, the Lokayukta officials found 1.19 kg of gold and 2.78 kg silver ornaments.
