Veerababu and Suresh shine

VISAKHAPATNAM: A. Veerababu of East Godavari and P. Suresh Kumar of Srikakulam recorded five-wicket hauls each in the drawn two-day round-robin matches of the ACA North Zone inter-district under-22 tournament at Kakinada on Saturday.

The scores:

East Godavari 166 in 54 overs (P. Raghu 57, P. Chandrasekhara Rao four for 30) drew with Vizianagaram 136 in 49.1 overs (Avinash Lalwani 45, A. Veerababu five for 18).

Visakhapatnam 240 in 67.3 overs (P. Trinath 75, G. Appanna 62, P. Suresh Kumar five for 36) drew with Srikakulam 114 in 42.4 overs.

Don Bosco advances

Don Bosco HS defeated Nasr School 2-0 in the boys’ team championship semifinal of the Anandnagar Welfare Association Sports Academy inter-school table tennis tournament in Hyderabad on Saturday.

The results:

Boys: Team championship: Semifinals: Little Flower HS bt Sangamitra HS 2-0;. Don Bosco HS bt Nasr School 2-0.

Google won the Champions Cup with a 3-0 win over HSBC in the final of the Sportzvillage Soccefest organised here.
