Y. Ramakrishnudu TUNI: Senior Telugu Desam Party leader Yanamala Ramakrishnudu said here on Friday that there was no number two in the party as the organisation but not any individual was supreme. Responding to reports in a section of the press that Nandamuri Harikrishna, MP and brother-in-law of TDP president N. Chandrababu Naidu, was discharging the functions of the party, he said that all the seniors in the party were equal and the TDP had never given thought to the number position. Mr. Ramakrishnudu said that there is no secrecy in the party and those who resigned never sought anything in writing. He was apparently responding to the jibe by T. Devender Goud that the party has not given reply to his written complaints. The TDP leader said that the party State committee which was slated to meet on July 12 would fill the vacancy in the core committee on Telangana caused by the resignation of Mr. Goud. He said that party would not suffer if anyone quits the party and the loss, both personally and politically, would be faced by those who left the TDP. He disclosed that Mr. Naidu would briefly interrupt his ‘Mee Kosam’ yatra in East Godavari as he was leaving for New Delhi on July 3 from Rajahmundry and return the following day.
