Staff Reporter

ADILABAD: District general secretary of Communist Party of India (CPI) K. Narayana on Friday suggested deployment of mobile polling booths in difficult to reach areas of Adilabad.

He said when the Government goes to great lengths to set up polling booths in remote areas, it might as well have mobile booths for the benefit of the voters in such areas. Collector Ahmad Nadeem who chaired the meeting with recognised political parties on photo electoral rolls and rationalisation of polling stations said he will take the suggestions to the notice of Election Commission. Talking about the process of updation of electoral rolls as per the delimitation order he asked officials to complete the process by July 14 in all the Assembly constituencies in the district.
