Mixed luck for KBA

BANGALORE: it was mixed fortunes for the Karnataka Badminton Association (KBA) team in the inter-club doubles championship for medallists here on Thursday.

KBA ‘A’ defeated Chord Road Club 5-2, while KBA ‘B’ went down to ECA ‘A’ 3-4.

Other results: Non-medallists: HBBC bt M.R. Forum 3-2; RMV Club bt Reliance 3-2; ITI SC bt KBA ‘B’ 3-1; KSCA bt KBA ‘A’ 3-2.

Mindtree is champion

Mindtree defeated Bosch 25-18, 25-20 to lift the Ventures Eves’ Cup in the inter-corporate throwball championship for women here.

In the match for third place, SAP Labs beat Logica 25-23.

Badminton tournament

The Canara Bank State-ranking badminton tournament for sub-juniors will be conducted by the Ubhayakar Badminton Academy at the KBA courts here from July 5 to 8.
