More subsidised kerosene for APL card holders

NEW DELHI: The Delhi Government has enhanced the kerosene allotment to about eight lakh Above Poverty Line (APL) ration card holders who have got their cards stamped and whose annual family income is between Rs.24,000 and Rs.1 lakh.

Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit has approved a proposal relating to the new entitlement under the Public Distribution System and more kerosene would be distributed from July 1.

While Below Poverty Line card holders, Antyodaya card holders and jhuggi cluster card holders would continue to get 22 litres of kerosene per month at Rs.9.16 per litre, the entitlement of the Above Poverty Line card holders has been increased from 9.5 litres to 15 litres per month.
