‘Past decade best period in India-China ties’

Indrani Dutta

KOLKATA: Mao Siwei, Consul General of China, said that the past decade has been the best period in the modern history of India-China relations.

Pointing out these were his personal observations, he told the members of a city chamber of commerce, during a recent meeting, that as a student and a policy analyst of India-China relations for the last 15 years, he felt that China’s relationship with India was one of the most important bilateral relations. He admitted that there still were some uneasy problems which would take time to be resolved.
