New courses at Hans Raj

Parul Sharma

NEW DELHI: Delhi University’s Hans Raj College will start two new add-on courses from the coming academic year.

Certificate courses in travel and tourism and mass communication will commence from September for a duration of three months each. The classes will be held in the afternoon.

“Students will be charged Rs.15,000 for each course. To begin with, we are keeping 30 seats for each add-on course. Priority will be given to students of Delhi University,” said Principal S.R. Arora.

Informing about the course on mass communication, Hindi Department faculty member Dr. Rama said: “There will be modules on radio jockeying, television anchoring and news reading. We will be getting guest faculty to teach the course. We are thinking of tying up with the University’s community radio 90.4 FM. The registrations will be held between July 16 and 31. We will select students on the basis of an interview.”
