486 persons held

Chennai police held 486 persons on various charges during a storming operation on Saturday night. The arrested persons included 29 anti-social elements and 42 history-sheeters. About 450 persons were booked for riding without helmet. On Sunday, M. Palanichamy, a trader in Burma Bazaar, was booked under the Goondas Act for marketing pirated DVDs of new movies .
