Five killed in accident

VANIYAMBADI: Five people were fatally knocked down by a car on the Valayampattu bridge near Vaniyambadi on Sunday.

The deceased were identified as Sashi Kumar (25) of Katpadi, Suriya Prakash (30) of Vinnamangalam, Bhaskar (30) of Elurapatti and Chandran (35) of Elurapatti. The identity of the fifth person was not known. The car was proceeding to Bangalore from Chennai, the police said. — Staff Reporter
