New initiative: Joint Director of Agriculture K. Janagan flagging of a publicity vehicle for the Tamil Nadu Irrigated Agriculture Modernisation and Water Bodies Restoration and Management Project in Salem on Friday. —

SALEM: A publicity vehicle was flagged off in the district on Friday to create awareness among farmers on the Tamil Nadu Irrigated Agriculture Modernisation and Water Bodies Restoration and Management Project.

Joint Director of Agriculture K. Janagan flagged off the vehicle. In Salem district, villages including Mullukurichi, Thammampati, Kondayampalli, Gengavalli, Aniampatti, Veeraganur, Venganur, Vengalam and Arumbavur would be covered by June 28.

Villages in Namakkal and Perambalur districts would also be covered.

. Meetings would also be held between 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. in the government schools and temples, officials said.
