Satyam rated tier-1 engineering supplier

HYDERABAD: Satyam Computer Services announced here on Monday that it had been awarded tier-1 engineering supplier status by EADS, an international leader in the aerospace and defence industries. Satyam received this distinction after a stringent selection process involving 2,000 suppliers. The tier-1 designation is part of an EADS program called E2S, which supports Airbus “Power8 program”. The move is necessary for Airbus and EADS to combat the effect of the weak dollar against the euro. — Special Correspondent
