Jacob sisters star in St. Mary’s win

IRINJALAKUDA: Sisters Seraha and Shikha Jacob played a big role as Alappuzha’s St. Mary’s Residential Central School won the girls inter-school title in the 19th Don Bosco Open all-Kerala table tennis tournament at the Don Bosco School here on Friday evening.

The results: Inter-school team championship: Girls final: St. Mary’s Residential Central School, Alappuzha bt Don Bosco HSS ‘A’, Irinjalakuda 3-2 (Shikha Jacob bt Ann Tanya Mariya 11-5, 11-6, 11-4; Seraha Jacob lost to Deepa Rose 8-11, 8-11, 7-11; Tanuja Thomas lost to Chanchal Prakash 6-11, 5-11, 4-11; Shikha Jacob bt Deepa Rose 11-9, 11-7, 12-10; Seraha Jacob bt Ann Tanya Mariya. 11-7, 11-7, 11-7).
