Mandy routs Ruchi

MUMBAI: Top seed Mandy Kennedy of England raced past Ruchi Mishra 9-0, 9-1, 9-1 to reach the women’s third round of the Otters Open squash championships at the Otters Club, Bandra, on Thursday.

The fifth-seeded Swati Munchal was stretched to three games by Rinky Soni.

The results: Women: Second round: Saumya Karki bt Anju Sharma 9-6, 9-1, 9-5; Shriya Khatri bt Shaheen Madraswala 9-2, 9-3, 9-0; Swati Munchal bt Rinky Soni 9-4, 9-5, 9-6; Ankita Sharma bt Namrata Purohit 9-3, 9-2, 9-6; Mandy Kennedy (Eng) bt Ruchi Mishra 9-0, 9-1, 9-1.
