Six new varsities to come up

HYDERABAD: The State government will release Rs. 15 crore for the setting up of six universities. Names of the universities and the place where they will be set up are Satavahana ( Karimnagar), Palamuru (Mahabubnagar), B.R. Ambedkar (Srikakulam), Krishna (Machilipatnam), Vikrama Simhapuri (Nellore) and Rayalaseema (Kurnool).

Higher Education Minister R. Chenga Reddy said here on Wednesday that the government also decided to the universities in the already identified sites. Similarly, the IIT-Hyderabad would also start functioning from this academic year.
