Naren keen to put up a better show

CHENNAI: After starting off on the right note in Greece in the seventh round of the World Rally Championship, Team Sidvin India’s Naren Kumar will be keen to put up a better performance in the Rally of Turkey, the eighth round, to be held in Kemer from June 13 to 15.

The Rally of Turkey is a rough gravel event run on breathtaking mountain roads in the southwest of the country.

The event is based 40km from Antalya, with its headquarters and service area in the holiday resort of Kemer.

Naren said, “This is going to be a tough rally like Greece. The weather is extreme. The car is looking good for the moment and I am looking to finish the rally and gain experience in these adverse conditions. I would like to keep the momentum gained going. We have made a few changes to the car set up after Greece to overcome a few glitches we have had there. I am keenly looking forward to this event.” — Principal Correspondent
