BANGALORE: Delhi Golf Club’s rising amateur golfer Gagandeep Verma notched up seven birdies to take the lead after the second round of the LG –Eagleton amateur golf tournament here on Wednesday.

Gagandeep, who shared the day’s best card (68) along with Chandigarh’s H.S. Kang, took a two-stroke advantage over overnight leader Vikram Rana who slipped into joint second place along with Kang.

Gagandeep teed off from the 10th hole and sank the first of his seven birdies on the 11th.
