Bargava Kula Sangam demands Most Backward Class status

SALEM: Members of Tamil Nadu Bargava Kula Sangam took out a massive procession here on Sunday to mark the beginning of the Salem Regional Conference.

The procession was organised to urge the State government to include their community in the most backward class list.

Flagged off by Sri Ramachandra University Chancellor V.R. Venkatachalam at Ammapet, the procession passed through important thoroughfares in the city including Ammapet Main Road, Pattakoil and Chinna Kadai Veethi before concluding at the Bose Maindan, the venue of the conference.

A large number of people participated in the procession.

Association State president R. Soundararajan spoke in the conference.

Salem Region President K. Vaithyalingam and Salem District President T. Kasiviswanathan were present.
