Girl killed in accident

TAMBARAM: S. Sangeetha (16), who was riding pillion on her friend’s motorcycle, was knocked off by a garbage truck on Velachery Main Road near Guindy on Sunday. She came under the wheels of the truck and was killed on the spot. A school student in Pallikaranai, she was a resident of Mylai Balaji Nagar and was returning home. She was working part-time as a pump operator at the filling station in Velachery for about two months during summer vacation.
