Snag hits ticket reservations

KOCHI: Many train passengers in Ernakulam district were affected from around 12.15 p.m. to 2 p.m. following a fault in the server of the computerised system that controls the public reservation system of Southern Railway. Many people waited till the fault was rectified. Over-the-counter purchase of tickets for trains stopping at respective stations was, however, unaffected. The provision to reserve tickets three days in advance came to the rescue of passengers who had reserved tickets earlier.
