Faithbook launched on Facebook

London: Faithbook, which went live on Tuesday on the popular social networking site Facebook, uses images, videos, prayers, content from sacred texts and commentary from prominent figures to promote constructive dialogue. Faithbook’s administrators said that the site would operate in the same way as a group, with members able to post images, start discussions and write notes. — © Guardian Newspapers Limited, 2008
