Government to take delegation to Delhi

BANGALORE: The State Government on Tuesday decided to take an official delegation to New Delhi to request the Union Government to instruct fertilizer companies to supply sufficient quantity of fertilizers to the State during the kharif season.
Chief Minister B.S. Yeddyurappa, who chaired a high-level meeting of officials, told presspersons that the delegation would meet the Union Minister concerned and brief him about the shortage of fertilizers in the State.
The Chief Minister said seeds of various crops would be provided to farmers at 50 per cent subsidy. Farmers, who had five acres of land, are eligible to get seed subsidy.
