Chennithala’s plea to Manmohan

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Kerala Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC) president Ramesh Chennithala has urged Prime Minister Manmohan Singh to take steps for early implementation of the special package for Kuttanad and Idukki. Mr. Chennithala, in a letter sent to the Prime Minister, pointed out that the M.S. Swaminathan Commission had submitted special packages for Idukki and Kuttanad in view of Kerala’s persistent demand after only Palakkad, Wayanad and Kasaragod were included in the Vidarbha Package.
