Three killed in road accidents

MANGALORE: Jadoo Saheb, a lorry cleaner, was killed when he was hit by another lorry, which was reversing. The accident occurred on Thannirbhavi Road under Panambur police limits on Friday. Police said, the accused lorry driver escaped from the spot. The victim is said to have died at a private hospital.

Ramesha (28), resident of Bada Kajekar village in Bantwal taluk, was killed when he was hit by a lorry which was also reversing at Panambur beach cross late on Friday. Panambur police, who have registered this case, said the victim died on the spot. The accused lorry driver fled the scene.

Ramesha was allegedly hit by a tractor while working at a quarry in Ullipady village on Thursday. He died at a hospital in Deralakatte, the police said. The accused driver of the tractor has been identified as Ponnuraj. A case has been registered.
