81 per cent pass

NAGAPATTINAM: Nagapattinam district comprising of Nagapattinam and Mayiladuturai educational districts has maintained 81 per cent pass in the SSLC public examinations this year.

G.Arockiasamy, Chief Educational Officer, Nagapattinam, told The Hindu on Saturday that out of the 20,305 (9592 boys and 10,713 girls) candidates appeared for the examinations 16,371 students (7,593 boys and 8,778 girls) came out successful registering a pass percentage of 81.

Out of the 197 schools (147 Government and aided schools and 50 Matriculation schools) in the district, 30 schools (six aided , five Government and 19 Matriculation schools) had achieved cent per cent pass this year.
