DEO warns teachers

Staff Reporter

Tuni: District Education Officer P. Parvati has issued orders to all government teachers to stay in their respective work place or face stern action.

Speaking to reporters here on Friday, she said orders issued by the District Collector to this effect would be implemented from next month. She said she would conduct surprise checks in all 335 government schools in the district after opening of schools and initiate action on those teachers who turn up late to the schools. The DEO said respective MEOs would be made responsible for indiscipline of teachers. It was the duty of MEOs to see that teachers should stay in the village or town in which they were working.
