BANGALORE: An eight-year-old boy was bludgeoned to death and his body was found in a forest area at Babusabpalya in Hennur police station limits on Monday night. The police said Ashok Kumar, a resident of K.S. Palya at Kammanahalli, went missing from his house on Sunday. Passer-by found his body in the forest area on Monday night. The police said some persons had bludgeoned the boy and abandoned the body in the forest area. The police have registered a complaint by Kumar’s father Anabu, a construction worker. The police are searching for the culprits. Case reopenedThe Byatarayanapura police have reopened a case of unnatural death of a 40-year-old man on May 3 following the autopsy report that the death was because of strangulation. The police said they found the body of a man near Hosakerehalli Main Road on May 3. As the body remained unclaimed in the Victoria Hospital, the police arranged for the burial of the body after registering it as a case of unnatural death. On Monday, the police received the autopsy report that stated the death to have been caused because of strangulation. Body foundA charred body of a 40-year-old man was found near a bridge near Sarjapura in Varthur police station limits on Wednesday. The police have registered it as a case of murder.
