Land for Japanese industrial park

Special Correspondent

CHANDIGARH: Haryana Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda said on Tuesday that his government would explore the possibility of providing about 3,000 acres of land to Mitsui and Company India Private Limited adjoining the Kundli-Manesar Expressway in the National Capital Region for setting up a Japanese Industrial Park.

Interacting with a Japanese delegation led by the Chairman of Mitsui and Company India Private Limited here, he disclosed that 70 per cent Japanese companies had invested in Haryana and their preferred destination was Gurgaon district.

The Chief Minister suggested that the new industrial park could be set up in Jhajjar district as a railway line from Rohtak to Rewari via Jhajjar had been sanctioned by the Union Railway Ministry and after the construction of this railway line business and industrial hubs would flourish in the region.
