New Delhi: A Delhi court on Tuesday sentenced a man to seven years’ rigorous imprisonment (RI) for robbing Rs.6,100 from a bus passenger at knife-point and injuring him. Additional Sessions Judge (ASJ) Braja Raj Kedia held Praveen, a resident of Sultanpuri, guilty of robbing Prem Nath Mehta, who was travelling in bus in west Delhi three years ago. “I am of the firm opinion that the prosecution has been able to prove its case against the accused beyond reasonable doubts. Thereby, he be sentenced to seven years’ RI which is suited to his crime,” the ASJ said.
