Hat-trick by Sashank

HYDERABAD: V.L. Sashank, a 13-year-old left-arm spinner bagged six for 35, including a hat-trick, to guide Cricket Coaching Foundation to a 239-run win over IIPM in the open category of the Imtiaz Pepsi Cup inter-academies cricket tournament in Bangalore.

The scores: Open category: CCF, Hyderabad 309 for two (Nikhilesh 154, Dhanaji 127) bt IIPM, Bangalore 70 (V.L. Sashank six for 35).

Under-16: Sarojini CFA 168 for nine (Naren Reddy 68, Noor 32, Vipul 30 not out) bt Pepsi, Bangalore 127 (Nitesh Yadav four for 25, Naren Reddy four for 23).

Under-13: Oxford HS 159 (Vipin 70 not out, Kranti three for 25, Prakash three for 30) lost to Sarojini CFA 162 for three (Rohit 35, Kranti 30, Kranti Kumar 31).

Alfred CC, Chennai 122 (Akash 33, Varun three for 24, Prakash three for 18, Rohit three for 19) lost to Sarojini CFA 126 for six (Rohit 41, Kranti Kumar 36, Akash three for 39).
