Couple held for murder

Staff Reporter

NEW DELHI: A couple from Bangladesh who allegedly murdered their 63-year-old employer at Narela here and took away his car and other valuables earlier this month have been arrested by the Delhi police.

Car, valuables stolen

The stolen car and other articles have been recovered from them, the police said. On May 16, the police received information about a foul smell emanating from a flat in Narela. Upon entering the premises, the police found the decomposed body of an old man on a bed. The deceased was identified as Lal Singh, a retired MCDemployee. Post-mortem revealed that he had been hit on the head with a blunt object and also stabbed in the chest with a sharp weapon. Enquiries revealed that Kudesh and his wife Heena, who worked as domestic helps in the house, had gone missing. Suspecting their involvement, the police launched a hunt for the duo and arrested them.
