New Delhi: Sanjeev Rajput shot a 1161 out of 1200 to take the 15th place in the men’s 50-metre free rifle 3-position event in the shooting World Cup in Milan on Monday. Rajput started with a 100 in the first card in prone but scores of 392 in prone, 383 in standing and 386 in kneeling saw him eventually miss the final by six points. Gagan Narang was below par and finished 54th in a field of 61, with a 1143. He had rounds of 392 in prone, 384 in standing and 367 in kneeling. Scores of 89 and 90 in kneeling pulled him down in the overall standings. The results: 50m free rifle 3-position: 1. Artur Aivazian (Ukr) 1275.5 (1175); 2. Maik Eckhardt (Ger) 1268.9 (1170); 3. Jia Zhanbo (Chn) 1268.3 (1171); 15. Sanjeev Rajput 1161; 54. Gagan Narang 1143. 10m air pistol: 1. Vladimir Isakov (Rus) 686.2 (586); 2. Dilshod Mukhtarov (Uzb) 685.7 (587); 3.
