Medical employees defer strike

HYDERABAD: The 24-hour-hold strike called by the Andhra Pradesh Medical Employees Union on May 27 to press its long pending demands has been postponed in ‘public interest’, according to G. Ramchander, president. He said in a statement issued here on Saturday that the union was ready for talks with the government on the demands.
