DAVANGERE: The district administration has put in place the required infrastructure to ensure that the counting of votes is held smoothly on Sunday. Deputy Commissioner M.B. Dyaberi said here on Saturday that 14 rounds of counting will be carried out for each Assembly segment. As many as 1,150 election staff had been deployed to monitor the process. The agents of political parties would have to undergo three security checks before being allowed inside the counting hall. Mr. Dyaberi said counting would begin at 8 a.m. and finish by noon. People outside the hall would be apprised of the results through loudspeakers at regular intervals. Superintendent of Police Sonia Narang said traffic on Hadadi Road would be diverted on Sunday from 6 a.m. till counting was over. Both BDT College and DRR Polytechnic are situated on Hadadi Road. Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation buses and other vehicles going to Bangalore would be rerouted through Nituvalli Road and the Bangalore-Pune highway.
