BELLARY: With only a few hours left for the D-day, all eyes are on the three Reddy brothers — G. Karunakara Reddy, G. Janardhan Reddy and G. Somashekar Reddy (all BJP) — in Bellary district. The counting of votes will be taken up on Sunday. For, the brothers, who have emerged as the centre of power in less than six years by gaining control of the Bellary City Corporation for two consecutive terms, winning three Assembly seats in the last election and also clinching the Bellary Lok Sabha seat, held by the Congress since 1952 besides controlling the zilla panchayat, a few taluk and town panchayats, have taken the election as a prestige issue and have left no stone unturned to continue their winning streak.
